    TIBERIVS CLAVDIVS CAESAR Cal'. Augusti. Iulio Antonio & Fabio Affricano coß. ex patre Druso & Antonia minore, Lugduni natus. à qua portentum hominis dicebatur, necdum à natura absolutus, sed tantum inchoatus, ac si quem socordiae argueret. Stulitorem aiebat filio suo Claudio. Nec tamen adeo stupidus, quĩ graece & latine optime sciret, & XL: historiarum libros conscriberet. Quinquagenarius cum inter praetenta foribus uela latitaret extrema pertimescens, ad Imperium tractus est, Primusq́; Caesarum fidem militis praemio pignoratus. In cognoscendo ac decernendo mura uaarietate usus, modo circumspectus & sagax, interdũ inconsultus ac praeceps, mox friuolus & amenti similis. Expeditionẽ unam omnino habuit Britannicam, quam intra sex menses confecit. Et cum imperium socordia & crudelitate per annos XIIII nexasset, uxoris ueneno perijt. Anno aetatis LXIIII.
