LICINIVS Licinianus in Dacia natus, genus suum ad Philippum referebat Augustum, parentibus tamen agricolis, extrema pueritia, militem eum fecit, belloq́; Persico uirtus eius militaris contra Narsen enituit, ob hoc Seuero mortuo à Maximino consors imperij factus Augustus adpellatus est, & Illyrijs primo deinde orienti praefuit, homo aulicae insolentiae & literis infensissimus, quas uenenũ acpestem, nec absq; iudicio fortaßis, asseuerauit, cõtra cuius tyrannidem, & in Christianos saeuitiam Constantinus, qui tum Gallias rexit, profectus, in Pannonia eum primo uicit postmodum temptata saepius fortuna. in Asiam profligatus à militibus occisus est septuagenarius, imperij cũ alijs xiiij. Vxorẽ hàbuit Constantiã Constantini magni sororem, ex qua Licinium sustulit iuniorẽ Caesarem à Constantino post modum creatum.
