EDITORIAL COMMENT
REMARKS: Obverse and reverse (in the following drawing, fol. 8r) are taken from different sources; the different paper and style of these two drawings suggest that either or both were misplaced during the binding of the Magnum Opus.
The obverse depicted is reputed to be the earliest coin minted with the portrait head of living person.
Rather angular contours; heavyhanded wash; divergent type of laurel (?) leaves (rounded instead of pointed)
