ſex ſigna ſupra Horizontem exiſtant.

D einde . Solum in ſphæra recta fieret æquinoctium, quoniam ſolus Ho-
rizon rectus bifariam diuideret Aequatorem, vt ex ſuperiori figura conſtat, in
qua Aequator eſt B D; Horizon rectus, A C, obliquus, Y Z, ſecans Aequato-
rem in F, in partes inæquales. Quòd in aliquo Horizonte obliquo continge-
ret fieri æquinoctium, illud minime accideret in tempore med o inter vtrum-
que Solſtitium, ſed multo propinquius eſſet æquinoctium uni ſolſtitiorum
quam alteri; Vt ſi terra conſtitueretur in N, inter tropicum X H, & Aequato-
rem B D, fieret æquinoctium, quando Sol parallelum percurrit, qui per N, de-
ſcribitur, quod quidem æquinoctium longe uicinius exiſtit ſolſtitio æſtiuo, quàm
hyberno. Quod ſi terra ſita eſſet in G, contingeret æquinoctium in ipſo die Sol-
ſtitij æſtiui, quæ quidem omnia abſurdiſſima ſunt.

petua ſeries, ac proportio conſtare duntaxat, & conſeruari poterit, ſi terra in
centro E, collocetur: Hac enim ratione Horizon obliquus quilibet, nompe S R,
diuidet Aequatorem B D, in partes æquales, vt tantaportio eius extet ſupra Ho-
rizontem quanta in Horizontem latet, ac proinde tanta erit dies, quanta nox.
Pari ratione ſecabuntur tropici X H, & I L, in partes inæquales, ita tamen, vt
alterna ſegmenta æqualia exiſtant, nempe T X, & V L: Item T H, & V I, vt
