PRIMVS. circuitionibus, & librata planicie, expreſſiōibus, ſpi
ritus natur ales aliter atq́ aliter fiunt, quorum offen
ſionibus mederinemo poterit, niſiꝑ ex philoſophia

Muſicen autem ſciat oportet, uti canonicam rationẽ,
& mathematicam, notam habeat, præterea baliſtarũ,
catapultarum, ſcorpionum temperatur as poſſit recte
facere. In capitulis enim dextra acſiniſtra, ſunt fora
mina hemitoniorũ, per quæ tenduntur ſuculis & ue-
ctibus ẽ neruo torti funes, quinon precluduntur nec
præligantur, niſi ſonitus, ad artificis aures certos & æquales fecerint. Brachia enim quæ in eas tentio-
nes includuntur, cum extenduntur, æqualiter, & pa-
riter, utraq́ plagamemittere debent. Quod ſi nō ho
motonia fuerint, impedient directam telorum miſſio
nem. Item theatris uaſa ærea quæ in cellis ſub gradi
bus mathematica ratione collocantur, & ſonituum di-
ſcrimina quæ græci ΗΧ @ α uocant, ad ſymphonias
muſicas, ſiue concentus, componuntur diuiſa in circi-
natione diate ſſaron & diapente & diapaſon, uti uox
ſcenici ſonitus conueniens in diſpoſitionibus, tactu´cũ
offenderit, aucta cum incremento, clarior & ſuauior
ad ſpectatorum perueniat aures. Hydraulicas quo-
q́ machinas, & cætera quæ ſunt ſimilia his organis,
ſine muſicis rationibus efficere nemo poterit. Diſci-
plinam uero medicinæ nouiſſe oportet, propter incli
