96. De coclea quæ magnã copiã extollit aquæ: ſed non tã alte. # Cap. XI.

Eſt aũt etiã cocleæ ratio, quæ magnã vim haurit aquæ, ſed nó tam alte tollit ꝗ̃
rota. Eius aũt ratio ſic expedit̃. Tignũ ſumit̃, cuius tigni quáta fuerit pedũ
longitudo tanta digito℞ expedit̃ craſitudo. Id ad circinũ rotundat̃. In capi
tibus circino diuidunt̃ circinationes eo℞ tetrãtibus in partes quattuor, uel
octãtibus in partes octo ductis lineis, eæ lineæ ita collocentur, ut in plano
poſito tigno ad libellã, vtriuſ capitis lineæ inter ſe reſpondeãt ad perpẽdi-
culũ, ab his deinde a capite ad alterũ caput lineæ perducant̃ conuenientes,
Vti ꝗ̃ magna erit pars octaua circinationis tigni, tam magnis ſpatiis diſtent
ſecũdũ latitudinẽ. Sic & in rotũdatione & in longitudine æq̃lia ſpatia fient. Ita quo loci deſcribunt̃ lineæ, quæ ſunt in longitudine ſpectãtes, faciẽde de
cuſſationes, & indecuſſationibus finita pũcta. His ita emẽdate deſcriptis ſu-
mit̃ ſalignea tenuis aut de vitice ſecta regula, quæ vncta liquida pice figit̃ in
primo decuſſis pũcto, deinde traiicit̃ oblique ad inſequẽtes longitudines & circuitiones decuſſium. Et ita ex ordine ꝓgrediens ſingula puncta p̃tereũdo
& circũinuoluẽdo, collocat̃ in ſingulis decuſſatiõibus: & ita ꝑs ei{us} eſt fixa. Eo
