DE REG. CHIN Æ. In more enim eſt apud illos anti-
quo, palatia, fana, cæteraque ædi-
ficia bene conſtituta, aut ſaltem in
privatis ædibus aulas, excipiendis
hoſpitibus deputatas, limen ad Au-
ſtrum habere, & eos, qui ex adver-
ſo januæ conſident, ad Auſtrum
converti. Vnde quoniam hi ritus in
prima aula juxta limen exhiben-
tur, vultu ad aulæ caput converſo,
Septemtrionem ſpectant.

Si quando majus aliquod vene-
rationis officium placet exhibere,
aut quia ſeſe tum primum ſalutant,
aut quia diutius abfuere, vel ſi alter
alteri quippiam gratulatur, aut gra-
tes agit, ſive cum ſolemnior ali-
quis dies incidit, aut alia qualibet
ex cauſa; tum poſt exhibitam eam,
quæ ſupra commemorata eſt, in-
clinationem, uterq; in genua pro-
voluitur, & frontem ad ſolum uſ-
que demittit. Tum in pedes erecti,
iterũ inclinantur, & genuflectunt,
ut ſupra, idque tertio & quarto.
