Full text: Pergaeus, Apollonius: Apollonii Pergaei Conicorvm Lib. V. VI. VII. paraphraste Abalphato Asphahanensi

PROEMIVM. ſorum ſecuti ſunt veſtigia, hanc imponendorum
terminorum rationem aſpernatus ſubindè eſt, aut
ab illa abhorruit; quinimò acceptiſsima ſemper om-
nibus fuit, vt quæ maximum rerum intelligentiæ
ſplendorem affert, & claritatem. Eandem igitur
hanc ob cauſam in colligendis, digerendiſque hiſce
famulus libris, antiquorum ſapientum, & artium
profeſſorum, inuentorumque inſiſtens veſtigijs, ter-
minos, & vocabula ſingulis rebus imponere, & earum vim breui declarare definitione cenſuit, vt
ita ſuis coércita omnia limitibus nequeant in varias
partes, & ſenſus diffluere, ad conciliandam lecto-
ri inter legendum hos Apollonij libros eam, quæ
fieri poteſt, facilitatem. Innui prætereà eandem
etiam ob cauſam obſcurioribus in locis expoſitionem
aliquam, ne vlla ſubindè relinqueretur difficultas
ad mentem Auctoris cumulatè aſſequendam. Tandem lectorem meum enixè rogo, vt
excuſatum me habeat, ſi mendum
aliquod, aut erratum meam
ſubterfugerit diligentiam. Interea Deum ſup-
pliciter depre-
cor
Altiſsimum, vt nos ad ea, quæ vtiliora
nobis ſunt, demúm
perducat.
