cis, compoſitus ex 6 aliis funiculis in unum convolutis, non plu-
res ferre potuit quam libras 210.

Funis Cannabinus vulgaris, cujus circumferentia erat 2 linearum,
compoſitus ex 6 aliis funiculis in unum convolutis geſtavit modo
libras 92.

Funis Cannabinus vulgaris, ex 6 funiculis intortis fabrefactus,
cujus circumferentia erat 0, 4 pollic. fractus fuit a libris 160 ap-

452. EXPERIMENTUM LXXXIX.

Alius funis Cannabinus etiam ex 6 aliis compoſitus, & circum-
ferentiæ 0, 54 pollicis geſtare modo potuit libras 240.

Hæc Experimenta inſtitui, ut detegerem an Cohærentiæ funium
forent in ratione craſſitierum, aut in quacunque alia, ut regulam
traderem ex data funis craſſitie determinandi ejus robur, aut ex
robore aſſignandi craſſitiem; aut definiendi craſſitiem ad datum
pondus gerendum; ſed ex iis liquet 1°. Cohærentiam funium non
eſſe in ratione craſſitierum; nam in Experimentis 84, 85, 86, ſunt
craſſities funium uti, 1, 3, 16. & Cohærentiæ uti 32, 87, 210,
cum fuiſſent ſecundum proportionem craſſitierum uti 32, 96, 512.
