20. DEPARALLELIS CIRCVLIS.
CAP. V.

PAralleli (qui & ſegmenta dicuntur) ſunt circuli
æqualem diſtantiam ex omni parte ab inuicem
habentes, & nunquam, ſi poſſent etiam ad inſini
tum protrahi, concurrentes. Quanuis paralleli
ad libitum poſſunt deſcribi, tamen (ad Ptol. imi
tationem) per certos tam in ſolida quàm in pla
na telluris deſignatione, latitudinis gradus diſ-
peſcimus: quod etiam in figura ſequenti arithmeticali ſeu tabula-
ri apparet. Hac tamen intercapedine ab inuicem diſtant, vt dies
vnius paralleli longiſſimus, ſuperet paralleli alterius diem prolixi-
orem, quarta ferè parte vnius horæ. Eadem habitudine & reliquo-
rum parallelorum diſtantia erit imaginanda, tam in parte Septen-
trionali quàm Meridionali.
