Comment. in I. Cap. Sphæræ diaci eſt ſupra Horizontem quemcunque, & medietas infra, eo quòd ſemper
ſex ſigna ſupra Horizontem exiſtant.

106.1.

Terram nõ

Aequatoris

Deinde . Solum in ſphæra recta fieret æquinoctium, quoniam ſolus Ho-
qua Æquator eſt B D; Horizon rectus, A C; obliquus, Y Z, ſecans Aequato-
rem in F, in partes inæquales. Quòd in aliquo Horizonte obliquo continge
hyberno. Quòd ſi terra ſita eſſet in G, contingeret ęquinoctium in ipſo die Sol
@titij æſtiui, quæ quidem omnia abſurdiſſima ſunt.

Tertio , Vni

portio incrementi,
& decrementi die-
rum, ac noctium cõ
funderet̃, quę ubiq-
extra rectam ſphæ-
ram apparet ante & poſt ęquinoctium; quæ talis eſt, ut bis
in anno dies adę-
quentur noctibus,
in tempore uideli-
cet medio inter diẽ
longiſſimam, ac bre
uiſſimam: Dies lon
giſſima ſit æqualis
nocti longiſſimæ: & dies breuiſſima no-
ctibreuiſſimæ. Ex-
petua ſeries, ac proportio conſtare duntaxat, & conſeruari poterit, ſi terra in
centro E, collocetur: Hac enim ratione Horizõ obliquus quilibet, nempe S R,
diuidet Æquatorem B D, in partes æquales, ut tãta portio eius extet ſupra Ho
rizontem, ꝗ̃ta infra Horizontem later, ac proinde tanta erit dies, quanta nox. Pari ratione ſecabuntur tropici X H, & I L, in partes inæquales, ita tamen, ut
alterna ſegmenta æqualia exiſtant, nempe T X, & V L; Item T H, & V I, ut
demonſtrat Theodoſius lib. 2. propoſ. 19. Ex quo fit, diem longiſſimam X T,
æqualem eſſe nocti longiſſimæ I. V; & diem breuiſſimam I V, nocti breuiſſimæ
H T. Denique T G, exceſſus maximæ diei X T, ſupra diem ęquinoctij X G,
