QUi variorum Philoſophorum circa Phyſicam ſcri-
pta contulerit, ſcientias omnino diverſas hoc
nomine deſignari, in dubium vocare vix pote-
rit, dum omnes ſe veram cauſam Phænome-
nôn naturalium tradituros pollicentur. Nil mirum, Ma-
theſis fallere neſcia non ſemper contentionem omnem a ſe
removere potuit.

Sed ne nos ſententiarum varietas averitatis inquiſitione
abducat, ſtudio & labore, quantumvis abſcondita, in lu-
cem protrahitur veritas, & qui flagranti hujus amore ra-
pitur, ſi errores non omnes, quod minime humanum,
evitet, difficilius tamen in illos cadit.

Caute in Phyſicis procedendum; circa Intelligentiæ ſu-
premæ opera verſatur hæc ſcientia; tradit

quas, dum primordia rerum
Pangeret, omniparens Leges violare Creator
Noluit, æternique operis fundamina fixit:

quomodo hiſce Legibus univerſa rerum congeries rega-
tur, & , quomodo ordo, nunquam ſatis mirandus, qui-
bus omnia peraguntur, iiſdem Legibus in Mundo ſervetur,
explicat.

Cavendum ne fictum pro vero admittamus, eoipſoul-
teriori examini januam claudimus; nulla vera Phænome-
nôn explicatio ex falſo principio deduci poteſt; mentiſque
humanæ figmentum diſcere, aut Intelligentiæ ſapientiſſi-
mæ opus perpendere quantum intereſt? Cumque ſapien-
tiæ divinæ inveſtigatio, & cum hac ſemper conjuncta ve-
