ARchimedæas timuiſſe est creditus artes,
Clauſa videns fragili Iuppiter astra globo.

Illa tamen perijt, quia vitrea, & vnica, & ipſi
Sphæra Syracuſio contumulata ſeni.

Hæc non ex vitro, non vna, aut clauſa ſepulchro eſt
Sphæra, ſed Auctori viuit vbique ſuo.

Fac iumulo incluſam, nostro Archimede ſepulto,
Ipſa quoque in tenebris astra ſepulta forent.

In cinere hoc ſcrutanda forent tùm ſydera, & vrnam
Quæ cælum tegeret, non vio [?] lare nefas.
